A delightful two bar Inn and restaurant, with accommodation. Situated in the picturesque fishing port of Charlestown and close to the bustling town of St Austell and within easy reach of many premier attractions, including the Eden project.    

 
Pre-Arrival 

Where we are:  A traditional Inn with its own private car park located in Charlestown.  
Main access routes:  A30, A391, A38. Nearest airport are Newquay and Plymouth. Nearest railway station is St Austell.  
Directions:  From A391/A38 follow the signs to St Austell and Charlestown.  2 miles from St Austell town.  Post Office is located within the village of Charlestown - only a two minute stroll from the Rashleigh.
The Rashleigh has a RADAR WC on site - see WC section below.

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities 

Drop-off point is outside on the pavement only 10 metres from the front door.
Flat but rustic cobbles - no obvious trip hazards.
Well lit at all times.
Main Car Park is a listed historic cobbled area.  It is very uneven and not suitable for wheelchair users.
Dogs are allowed in Public Bar Area but not in Restaurant.  Guide / Service dogs are welcome.
Music can be turned down on request ~ please ask staff for assistance.

 
Main Entrance, Reception & Ticketing Area 

Main Entrance is up a 150mm granite step.  Alternative entrance with ramp is located to the right of this entrance.
Both entrances have wide access.  Single leaf doors with good clear vision panels.  
The counter height at reception is 1070mm.
although not bright the lighting here is adequate. 
DeafGard available on request at reception ~  DeafGard placed under pillow vibrates and alerts deaf and hard of hearing persons to fire emergency high intensity flashing strobe provides additional safeguard of visual emergency warning additional audible warning for hearing companion. DeafGard offers clock and alarm clock facility DeafGard ensures full compliance with DDA DeafGard is perfect for hotels and other accommodation facilities presenting relevant risk to deaf people.
 
Public Areas - Hall, Stairs, Landing, Corridors etc 

All stairs, landings and corridors to the accommodation areas are carpeted and well lit.  Handrails are provided on some of the stairways.
 
Public Areas - Sitting room, lounges, lobbies etc 

Lobby area.  Found at the front of the property at the entrance with ramped access.  This is also the entrance to the stairs for the accommodation rooms.  
Front door through 815mm double leaf door into lobby the single leaf door 710mm door.
Seating is available with armrests.   
The area is wide, well lit and carpeted.  Brochures for local attractions are found here at low level. 

Public WCs 

All on ground level with no steps or stairs.  Found at the rear of the Restaurant and Public Bar areas.
The Disabled WC is found at the rear of the Restaurant area.  Details of this cubicle as follows:
Unisex, RADAR locked - key available at the Bar - please ask any member of staff.  Baby changing facilities.  Emergency Pull Cord installed and can be heard outside the cubicle.  Sink height 710mm, WC 430mm high, hand drier 1270mm high.  Hand rails provided throughout the cubicle.  Well lit and with a non-slip floor.  The door (single leaf) is 840mm at its narrowest.  Good signage indicating its location.
 
Restaurant / Dining Room, Bar & Bar area, Take Away & Cafe 

Restaurant:
All on one flat level except one small 150mm step to the raised section of the Restaurant.  Adequately lit throughout.
WC's found at the rear of Restaurant / Public Bar Areas.  Disabled RADAR locked WC at rear of Restaurant area only.
Wide access throughout, tables and chairs can be moved ~ please ask staff if assistance is required.

Restaurant has space for 65 covers (seats) in its large area.
Waitress service to your table is provided.
Ramp access to the Restaurant at front of building.

Located on the first floor (unfortunately there is no wheelchair access to the bedrooms) the bedrooms details are as follows: 2 x Superior Doubles, 2 x Superior Twin, 2 x Standard Twin, 2 x Standard Double (1 with sofa bed).  Some sea views.  All en-suite. 
Please note all our rooms are non-smoking. 
We regret we cannot accept pets in our bedrooms ~ Guide Dogs / Service Dogs welcome.
Description:  All rooms are clean, comfortable and newly refurbished. 
The Visit Britain Guest Accommodation Committee has awarded the Rashleigh with 4 Stars following their refurbishment. 
We now have Wi-Fi available in all rooms. 
We have a large car park at the front of the pub. 
Check-in time is from 2pm. 
Check-out time is from 10.30am. 
Facilities available in each room: Television / Hairdryer / Tea and coffee making facilities with cordless kettles / Wi-Fi.
